No one cares about potato racing more than the people of Appleton. Well, no one really knows about potato racing except the people of Appleton but that’s all about to change when Penny Anderson moves back to town, for a quiet time, to lick her wounds after her life falls apart in the big city.
Coming from a long line of potato racing champions, Penny can’t believe it when she hears the men’s prize money is more than double that of the women. After learning of this injustice, she swings into action to right the wrong, pitting family against family, sister against sister, potato racer against potato racer and despite best intentions, causes no little havoc in her home town of Appleton…
