C21 FEATURE: The Collector reboot among three No Equal dramas to be shopped by Rainmaker

UK-based sales house Rainmaker Content has struck a deal to distribute three series made by Canadian prodco No Equal Entertainment, including supernatural thriller reboot The Collector: Redux.

The Collector: Redux is a reboot of The Collector, which ran for three seasons and was sold into around 65 territories between 2004 to 2006. It tells the story of Morgan Pym, who collects the souls of people who have made deals with the devil.

Also joining Rainmaker’s slate is procedural drama The Work (10×60’), which follows a team of social workers at Detroit’s department of health and human services.

Finally, No Equal and Matt Wexler’s WexWorks Media are coproducing Erratic, about a Canadian physician and her lawyer friend in Toronto who investigate a series of murders.

JB Sugar, founder and CEO of No Equal, said: “We believe we have the makings of three distinctive and equally viable series in the making and look forward to growing our ongoing relationship with our friends and partners at Rainmaker Content.”

Greg Phillips, co-CEO of Rainmaker, said: “These three new series are a tribute to No Equal’s talent for engaging with diverse voices to create drama with universal appeal – and a great addition to Rainmaker’s scripted catalogue.”
